TV Mounting Tucson

Any Wall Type, Done Right

TV mounting is one of our most requested installation services in Tucson. A wall-mounted TV eliminates the bulky entertainment center, gets the screen to proper eye level, and completely transforms the look of a living room or bedroom. Done right, it's a clean, professional result. Done wrong — with the TV tilted, sagging, or wires dangling — it's an eyesore and a safety risk.

Tucson homes present specific wall challenges. Most Tucson exterior walls and many interior walls are concrete block (CMU) — common in 1960s–1990s construction throughout midtown and Eastside Tucson. Others have stucco over wood-frame walls. Neither is a standard drywall install. We carry the right masonry bits, anchors, and hardware to mount TVs securely on any Tucson wall type.

We also offer in-wall wire concealment — routing HDMI, power, and AV cables through the wall cavity so no cords are visible. We make this look like it was built that way, with proper recessed cable plates at the TV and at the outlet below. For situations where in-wall routing isn't possible (concrete block walls), we offer surface raceway solutions that are clean and paintable.

What We Install

TV Mounting Services in Tucson

📺

Standard TV Wall Mount

Find studs, mark level, install bracket, hang TV. We use a quality level and properly secure every mount to studs or masonry anchors rated for the TV's weight.

🔄

Articulating & Full-Motion Mounts

Full-motion mounts that let you swing the TV for viewing from multiple positions. These require beefy installation into studs or masonry — we make them solid.

🧱

Stucco & CMU Wall Mounting

Tucson specialty. We drill into stucco and concrete block with proper masonry bits and use expansion anchors rated for the TV weight. No toggle bolts in masonry — only proper anchors.

🔌

In-Wall Wire Concealment

Route power, HDMI, and AV cables through wall cavities between the TV and outlet location. Finished with recessed in-wall cable plates for a built-in appearance.

📦

Cable Raceway Install

Surface-mount raceways painted to match wall color, concealing wires where in-wall routing isn't possible (CMU block walls).

🔊

Component Shelf & Soundbar Mount

Mount a floating shelf below the TV for streaming devices, and mount a soundbar under the screen. Complete entertainment wall setup in one visit.

Our Process

What Happens During TV Mounting

01

Choose Mounting Location & Mark Studs/Anchors

We confirm your ideal viewing height, locate studs or plan masonry anchor points, and mark the bracket position before drilling anything. Getting this right first avoids patching mistakes later.

02

Drill Pilot Holes & Test Anchor Points

For stucco and CMU walls, we use the correct masonry bits and verify each anchor point before installing hardware. For drywall, we confirm stud location with an electronic stud finder and confirm by drilling a small pilot hole.

03

Install Bracket Securely

The bracket goes up with proper fasteners — lag bolts into wood studs, or expansion anchors in masonry. We torque each fastener correctly and confirm the bracket is level before hanging anything on it.

04

Route & Conceal Wires

Power and signal cables are routed through the wall cavity (drywall) or through a surface raceway (CMU). We finish with proper cable management plates so the installation looks intentional and clean.

05

Hang TV, Level, Test

The TV attaches to the bracket, we confirm level, tighten all adjustment points, connect all cables, and power the TV on for a final test. You'll see a working, clean installation before we leave.

FAQ

TV Mounting Questions Answered

How much does TV mounting cost in Tucson?
Best Handyman Tucson provides free estimates. Standard drywall mounts take 1–1.5 hours. Stucco or concrete block walls add 30–60 minutes. In-wall wire concealment adds 1–2 hours. We price by time, not by TV size.
Can you mount a TV on stucco or concrete block walls in Tucson?
Yes — this is a Tucson specialty for us. Stucco over wood-frame walls gets mounted into studs through the stucco. Concrete block (CMU) walls require masonry drill bits and proper expansion anchors. We carry both types of hardware.
Can you hide the wires when mounting a TV in Tucson?
Yes. For drywall walls, we route cables through the wall cavity between two recessed cable plates. For concrete block walls, we use surface-mount cable raceways that are paintable and nearly invisible. We'll recommend the right solution for your wall type.
What TV mount bracket should I buy?
We install customer-supplied brackets or we can bring a recommended bracket. For most 40–85 inch TVs on standard walls, a quality fixed or tilting mount is sufficient. Full-motion articulating mounts are great for corner installations or rooms where you watch from multiple positions.
Do you mount TVs above fireplaces in Tucson?
We can mount above fireplaces but advise against it for TVs used frequently — heat rises directly into the TV and viewing angle is typically too high. If you do want above-fireplace mounting, we'll use a full-motion mount with a downward tilt to improve sight lines.
